Re: Please allow me to reintroduce myself.

I scrubbed the wheel wells yesterday... shiny new white paint underneath, mostly

Before:

After:

Those are actually different sides, of course, since I ran out of paint after the passenger's side. It was lightly snowing but not sticking or anything. I taped up the driver side and was going to buy more paint when it started snowing BIG ASS snowflakes I hope to finish tomorrow but it's forecasted to have a wind chill of -17! F%$#!

Re: Please allow me to reintroduce myself.

Little while since I've been in here...

had a bad bearing noise (wha I thought was the front wheel bearings, which is why I did them before), turned out to be the rears. BUT, even though the fronts didn't make noise, my MPG seems to have risen a lot o maybe they did actually need to be done.

it was the rear that was noisy, which i had done 2 years ago. So i did it yesterday and it's back to being quiet :0

I am looking into replacing my subframe mounting bolts and nuts. Do they sell the in-body captive nuts new at the dealer?

Re: Please allow me to reintroduce myself.

Had an issue...

Tie rod snapped right at the end. Luckily it was at a stoplight. Ordered new rods and ends (these are only a few months old but the end boots are cut all the way round already too :screwy: )

Re: Please allow me to reintroduce myself.

It was easier then I expected. I only did toe becuase I only changed tie rods anyway. Meaure fromnt to front and back to back on the wheel and adjust. It's easy to get close. I am maybe 1/16" toed in but I got other things to work on and then I'll get a full alignment.

Re: Please allow me to reintroduce myself.

Pictars finally!!

Trans/clutch job

My view for most of the day... i was face to face with the flywheel sitting up in the bay.

Did this yesterday... look at how tiny it is!!

Changed my interior up again, put the console back in... I like how it is now.

And a final pic...
